To provide lifelong supports for people with autism spectrum disorders that are created specifically for the needs and desires of each individual, thus integrating into the community in the most meaningful ways possible.
AuSSN is about a lifestyle that is:
Person-Centered: A fundamental guideline in all of AuSSN's programming will be to develop programming where needs of the individual decide the curriculum.
Self-Determined: AuSSN is committed to a holistic approach that allows for an array of choices in lifestyle and supports, including residential, supervised independent and semi-independent living arrangements, vocational training and placement, transition planning, community employment, family supports and consultations.
Actively-Engaged: Individuals will be engaged in community recreational activities, nutritional assessment, behavioral supports, medical and psychiatric follow-up, and opportunities for lifelong learning.
